Litterless lunchboxes

Every piece of packaging or excess food that we can save from landfill makes a difference. We are focusing on reducing the amount of material that we send to landfill. When planning lunches, throughout the year, please help minimise food and packaging waste by packing a waste-less lunch!  We were lucky to have our friend Jo Shanks from CEBEC come in and teach us how to make beeswax lunch wraps.

School Garden Update

Things are going well in the garden. We are preparing our beds with new compost and some blood and bone to add nutrients (very soon we will also have worm juice too). We have been weeding and mulching our celery, garlic, onions and lettuce and getting ready to harvest more kale. Kale chips will be on the menu, yummy!  In the hot house we have beans growing and we have planted two varieties of kale seeds, basil, spring onion, black capsicum and eggplant seeds. Everyone is enjoying their time outside in the early spring sun.
